Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 12 oz macaroni
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Sauté onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and brown, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder and mix well.
  5. Add broth, milk, and macaroni.
  6. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, until macaroni is cooked al dente.
  8. Stir in half of the cheese.
  9. Top with remaining cheese.
  10. Cover with lid until the cheese melts.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Way better than the boxed stuff and just as quick.
