Thai Basil Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 8 oz green beans
  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken thighs, diced
  • 4 shallots, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 Thai chilies, minced
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Heat oil in wok over high heat.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar in small bowl.
  3. Add bell pepper and green beans to the wok.
  4. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken.
  6. Stir-fry until starting to brown, about 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in shallots, garlic, and Thai chilies.
  8. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  9. Add prepared sauce.
  10. Cook until sauce glazes onto the meat, about 2 minutes.
  11. Stir in basil.
  12. Cooke until chicken is completely cooked, basil is wilted, and most of the liquid has evaporated.

Serve over Jasmine rice.
