Lots of TF2
Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is awesome. It was released almost four years ago and has received continuous updates. I started playing in December of 2007. I have had a lot of fun with it.
You may or may not know about the [Olive Garden], but we are a group of friends that play video games together (primarily TF2). We all have Italian names (mine is “Grissini“) and catch phrases (I vigorously correct people that mispronounce my name). After some time, we even found a sister clan, Version 2.0, that understands our specific needs and skillset. This partnership created one of the best things ever, RepCons!
The awesome “people from the internet” that showed up to celebrate our wedding. The only one that isn't in this photo is Zem/Jennifer.
Those who attended my wedding may have seen a group of people wearing some sweet shirts. These people traveled all over the continent (Canada, Texas, and Pennsylvania are the outliers!) to celebrate with us!
This year we entered into the UGC Highlander tournament. We started way back in January with the pre-season. Our first pre-season match was actually shoutcasted by eXtv. Can’t say I really like the guy talking and I don’t expect anyone to watch it entirely, unless you like videos talking about videogames. Most importantly, check out my sweet backcap at 25:42 and me destroying the heavy, sniper and soldier at 26:30! This wasn’t our best match, but it is interesting to see how far we have come along in throughout the tournament.
We are doing surprisingly well for being a rag-tag team with no strong leadership (looking at you Vino =P). After 16 grueling weeks and many tears, we made it into the North American Iron Highlander League playoffs. We even won the first match of the playoffs!
I am quite excited.
In completely unrelated news, we had a doc appointment discussing our ultrasound results. We have a healthy baby so far! 🙂
I am quite excited.
Happy Friday the 13th!
