Coming home
So it has been a while since I posted anything, sorry it has been a little crazy so here is a recap.
At about 2:30pm today William Alexander came home to our little apartment and we couldn’t be more excited. This morning we went to the hospital to see William and they said his tests all came back great but he had failed the car seat test. The car seat test is a test that all babies who where under 5 lbs when they were born have to do before they can leave the hospital. They have to sit in their car seat for 90 minutes with all of their monitors on and not have their O2 levels drop below 90. Last night he failed but this morning we put him in there and tried again. He did well and passed.
While he was doing his car seat test we went and ran a few errands. when we came back to the NICU Dr. Jay was in there and gave us the best news, William could go home with us! I was so excited and immediately started packing him u I wasn’t going to let them change their minds!
Once he got home we have been hanging out and sleeping. He seems to be adapting pretty well to the new digs.
Another great thing that happened today was he finally got to meet Nana Cathe. She didn’t go into the NICU cause she just got over a cold and didn’t want to make anyone sick. Overall, things are great and we are pretty excited to have him home!
