A family update
Hello to all,
It is the time of year when we start getting Christmas cards and hearing about all the wonderful things or family and friends are doing. It is also the time of year when I look back and think of all the wonderful things our family has done. I am not one to usually send out a Christmas letter, I have adopted the New Years cards and will send those out after the first of the year. I figured I would do our update on here instead of a lengthy letter. So here it goes:
As most people know,we have moved to Bismarck and have bought a house. It is a daily adventure owning a home, we are always finding things that need fixed, tweeked or replaced. Our latest adventure was putting Christmas lights on the outside of the house. Zach picked pretty much the coldest night and climbed up there and put them on. He even did it with a smile on his face! Overall we are loving our house and Bismarck.
Zach absolutely loves his job at Bobcat and they seem like a great company to work for. In his spare time he loves to play with William, play video or board games and work on his honey do list. He has been working on restoring the pin-ball machines…Yes,we now own two pinball machines, one we bought with the house. We are also playing home to two of Zach’s brother’s machines while they are in between houses.
I am working as a program coordinator at Community Options. There is never a dull moment at work and much to my dismay, my schedule is ever changing! With all the craziness of life I still am able to find time to take pictures and scrapbook. This past year I was honored to photograph a few weddings and some families. I already have one wedding booked for next year! I have also become addicted to Pintrest and often find myself sucked into trying new things…some good….some not to good.
William is also busy as ever. He loves to walk…scratch that, RUN every where he goes. He loves to talk, Zach and I have both said that we would pay big money to know what he was saying. He really likes to ask “What’s that?” and “Who is that?” His other favorite words are; this, that, up, down, mom, dad, done. Every day he surprises us with something. Just this morning rather than crying to get out of the crib he started yelling at me and it sounded almost like my dad did when he was trying to get my little brother out of bed growing up. Recently, William also decided that he needed to start potty training (no complaints here). When he needs to go he will run over to the stairs (which he can get up and down thanks to Nana Cathe) and be-line it for the bathroom. He has the desire to have all of his clothes off when he uses the potty…so we are working on that. While mom and dad are at work he goes to spend times with a WONDERFUL at home day care. He has a BFF, Weston, there, they are 20 days apart and get into all sorts of mischief together. I am scared for everyone involved when they get a little older.
Well, my lunch break is over and I must get back to work. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Amelia, Zach and William Doll
