William’s 2nd Birthday, Mr. Potato Head
We celebrated William’s second birthday a little early this year. I am shooting a wedding (family) the actual day of his birthday, my mom could make it, and it worked for both my mother and father in law, so August 18th we boogied down…Mr.Potato head style!
We did Mr.Potato head because lately William has been really into accessorizing (see my facebook for a few days of William). I figured what better party theme than someone who make a job out of accessorizing!
I (with the help of my mom and friend Kaelynn) made tato head treat bags;
We also had DIY cupcakes (brown cupcakes with different body candy parts). William thought it was pretty nifty he got to put ‘andy (candy) on his upcake (cupcake) all my himself!;
The funky things on the side of Mr. Potato head are lelo (Lego) candles. William was pretty excited about them. He got a little less excited when daddy lite them and he tried to touch them…and then everyone yelled at him..but perked right up when he realized he could blow them out and daddy would relight them!
No Mr.Potato head party is complete without accessories;
The little boy above is William’s friend from day care. They are 20 days apart and are BFF’s. William was a little confused when he showed up at his house…not to mention that his day care provider came at the same time…major confusion for the little man! The little girl is a friend’s daughter we spend quit a bit of time with. She and William are a few months apart but have been mistaken for twins in public. These three had so much fun playing with the mustaches, lips and glasses!
The only “game” we really played was pin (stick) the face on the potato. The girls did the Mrs. and the boys did the Mr. It was great fun! My niece Lucy couldn’t handle the Mr. for very long and ended up putting it all together “correctly”, but luckley I got a snap shot before hand!
Overall it was an awesome party. We had baked potato bar for supper. It was super easy and everyone loved it. Now to start planning a fun party for next year…
