Reverb 6: Birthday
You’re another year older! How did you celebrate the passage of another year? Did it turn out the way you had hoped?
Birthday’s are something that always create good fun in our house. Because prior to my birthday Zach and I are the same age. After my birthday it is another 8 months of him rubbing it in that I am older than he is.
This year my birthday was wonderful. I woke up to a present of new slippers and movies on the table (because Zach had to go out of town for work). For dinner we met some friends at went to Kobe’s, a hibachi grill restaurant that I have wanted to go to for quit some time. Just so happens they give you a gift card if you go there on your birthday, so I told Zach he was taking me 🙂
The one thing I didn’t get was a cake! I tried to convince Zach after we went to Kobe’s to let me go to Tutti Fruitti and get my free yogurt so I could put it in the freezer for later. He thought I was crazy and drove home.
The other awesome thing that I got for my birthday was a package from my dad. I knew it was going to be good when it was dad’s handwriting for the address. That almost ALWAYS means there is jerky and he didn’t disappoint! My dad makes the best jerky there is! The rest of my gift also came vacuum sealed (it was money) and I think it is too funny, so I haven’t spent it yet.
