Today we went on our challenge hike at Fort Lincoln before we broke camp and headed south.

The drive was pretty lack Luster. We stoped in faith SD for a trunk sandwich and to play on the playground. Zach tried to teeter totter with his feet on two different ones and the boys on the other end. It did not go as planned. We also grabbed some ice cream at the drive in. Zach almost left without paying. Owen and I had strawberry rhubarb shakes that were pretty tasty. William had a Snickers candy whip and Zach had a chocolate malt. He told the lady (who had never had a malt) that it was above average.

We stopped in Rapid City for somethings we had forgotten (or decided we needed) and hit up the two game shops. There wasn't any parking down town for our car with trailer so Owen and I drove around the down town area while Zach and William checked out the shops.

This KOA is massive. I was washing dishes and the boys walked to get wood. It was a lot father than they thought it was going to be. So I got camp organized while they were gone. We set up camp and cooked kabobs for dinner. After doing the dishes we headed to the fun zone. The boys jumped on the big bubble. There is a pool and waterslide but we all decided it was a little cold (50ish degrees).

We found out there was a lighting ceremony at Mount Rushmore so we quick headed there. It was pretty cool to see.

We just got back to camp, both the boys are passed out (they were asleep before we left mount Rushmore). When we got back to camp I told Zach to be sure to grab some Kleenex and his medicine. Well, we got into bed and he says ‘babe, i forgot the Kleenex…and my medicine. I don't have pants on do you have pants on?” So out of the warmth of the bed I climbed to get him all the things he forgot when I told him the first time.

Overall another great day.
