We got up early today and picked some choke cherries! We hopped in Hugo and hit the road to get to the farm before it got too hot. It had stormed the night before, but it mostly missed Mom and Dad's place, so the picking could commence.

We only picked for about two hours, but we got a little over 5 gallons of the bitter berries.

Afterward, we had breakfast and played some cards. I played cheat with the nieces and nephews, and lost. Then we played pinnochle with Mom and Dad.

We got back home in time for lunch.

What a great start to the day.
