Reverb14: Coulda woulda shoulda
What didn’t you do this year because you were too scared, afraid, unsure? Are you going to do it next year? Or maybe you don’t want to anymore?
Last year I blogged that one of my challenges I encountered last year was canning. At that time I mentioned that in 2014 I wanted to tackled pressure canning. I am sad to report that I still am too scared and have not tackled that fear. I am hoping that I can work up to doing it this year.
Until then, I will continue to water bath 🙂
When my mom came to visit this fall we did a bunch of canning!
2 cases of peaches
11 pineapples
4 green peppers
5 red peppers
5 (very strong) onions
8 tomatoes
12ish pounds of sugar
14 cups pitted cherries
Misc. Items from my cupboards
A weekend of mother daughter time
Became
6 pints marichino cherries
3 pints cherry jelly
13 pints zesty peach BBQ sauce
10 pints sweet and sour sauce
7 pints pineapple peach syrup
4 pints vanilla peach butter
5 pints pineapple tidbits
9 pints peach jam
And one heck of a good time!!!
