Day 12: Super tired
Man am I tired.
I fell asleep almost immediately thanks to the comfortable bed. I woke up way to early and was trying to go back to sleep when I realized Amelia would probably still be up. I started texting her and turns out she was finishing a movie.
I got dressed and had a very pleasant breakfast. I could tell the owner wanted to make conversation, but the language barrier was too much for us. We settled on the universal language of pointing and smiling.
I got on the road early because I didn't know where I was going and I wanted to be on time for my 7 am meeting, considering I missed an entire day of work at the Pontchateau office.
I got to the office at 6:30, plenty of time to find the right room. The place was dead. Not a single other car in the entire lot. This was the first clue something was wrong.
I pulled into the visitor parking and got out. I went up to the door and it was locked; clue numero dos. I whip out my phone and double check the time of the meeting on my calendar. It says 7 am. I am pretty puzzled until I realize I am looking at the calendar with my home time zone.
I passed the next hour playing picross on my phone. Eventually, a gentleman sees my car and lets me into the engineering office. I was pretty happy considering I was getting cold.
I spent the morning meeting different people and working with Kevin Getin. He made sure to take me to coffee break where he fed me tea from the vending machine. These guys take their coffee breaks seriously.
It is after lunch, and I am finally getting ready for my 2pm meeting (which is when my 7 am actually starts). I am definitely tired.
